Archery is a fun and incredibly inclusive sport, anyone can take part. Getting into the sport is a simple task.
Whether you want to do it just for the fun of having a hobby and meeting new friends, or you want to challenge yourself to compete in competition with new friends then Bicester Archers is the club for you..
To be able to join any Archery GB Club in the UK you will have had to have completed a recognised beginners course. Our beginner courses here at Bicester Archers are a minimum of eight hour long.
The beginners course runs over 2 days and on the weekends.
In 2017 we will run one outdoor beginners course a month at Chesterton from April through to October.
Bicester Archers beginners courses teach you how to be safe while shooting in the company of other archers, but you will be spending the majority of the time on being taught the correct basic shooting techniques that will allow you to shoot any bow type safely. On the course you will be shooting at distances of up to 20 metres,
The methods we use allow you to progress quickly while still enjoying the course. PLEASE also note everyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible guardian at all times.
We really encourage all parents to come along too and join your kids having fun on the beginners course. We have learnt that it makes for a fantastic family experience for everyone who comes along and then joins the club.
Bicester Archers actively use the CLEVER Archery Coaching methods in all of our coaching programs.
Beginners Course Prices are £65.00 for Seniors (Over 18) and £45.00 for Juniors (Under 18)
We currently take juniors from the age of 10 onwards there are no upper limits. If you have a child below the age of 10 we may consider them for a place on the course (this may involve coming to the club to meet the club coaches and try out the equipment we use on the course)
